Possibly TL;DR… but a rare thing…SRS BIDNESS post from me:

Everyone had to start something, somewhere, at sometime.

I’ve been noticing this phenomenon for well over a month, and I had a thought about it.

Some Google+ folks have been “on” Google+ since it started…Awesome.

Therefore, they will “know” a lot of other Google+ folks…have lots of circles, followers/posts and whatnot. As I am new, I have very few friends/followers/posts and I am not hurt or bothered by that in any way. I check my feed, laugh and enjoy posts, might post something goofy or thought provoking myself and I go about my day.

Newer Google+ers maybe those who bailed on facebook or never had any social media going at all prior to STARTING on Google+ (I’d be in this category…and I have some very solid reasons as to why.)

For the most part, I’ve found folks here to be gifted, artistic, friendly, smart, and some of you very, very funny. Also, some generous and truly amazing people that are mindful and caring. So cool.

Being at the beginning of something like Google+, eventually clubs and clicks and sekkrit tree houses are bound to happen, which can be VERY cool……however, all of them won’t be friendly, nice or even very interesting anymore. They may have started nice and then got sort “mean girls Cool Boys” Clubs…and that means:

NO new people we are CLOSED…which would be fine if it wasn’t open attack time….simply ignore new people. No need to freak out and call up the cool team…Starting to look sorta facebooky…..LOL.

Saw this the other day, “Who is THIS? Probably a troll…not many followers…YEP troll account….BLOCKED.”

Weirdly the poster had said nothing trolly, was actually really chill and friendly and rather easy to check out…That poster was me.

Cool if you don’t want to to follow them….Double cool if you have enough friends and don’t want or require more….COMPLETELY understood if not knowing someone’s ‘REAL’ name, where they live, where they work, and all that immediately makes you cautious…

I GET IT, honestly…it makes sense….AND it doesn’t mean the poster is a troll or a creep or even “hiding something awful”…

Some of us have our reasons for having a non-specific avatar and name, and won’t be really hurt if you don’t want to wait a bit before learning private details about us…It’s O.K., it really is.

However, the assumption that everyone who is private is a horrible troll, especially with no evidence like : drama, name calling, purposeful thread/point stealing, baiting, ugly attacks….I’ve done none of these things…and I won’t. And writing mean stuff after assuming someone is a troll in a thread where no “troll” behavior has occurred…is well, shitty.

I will answer questions and I am still figuring out how Google+ works..

Hating on new Google+ ers is mean-sprited and limiting.

Take some time before calling troll….And maybe grow up.

(Yes, I have my big shark panties on and No,  I am not butthurt.)
