Official non-kidding non-smart ass response to the hollaback video thing since someone asked me to be “straight up” and stop being a goddamned snarky shark…..
I just now had my son watch it…said nothing about what it was, just hit “play”….
When it was done he said, “It’s weird to me that people can’t just leave other people be…”
That about covers it in many ways.
Some of it did seem creepy/and with intent to be intimidating and sexist…I would NOT want people to talk to my sister that way, and BTW my sister is a scary bad ass who doesn’t need me at all to White Knight shit for her. She could beat me into a oily puddle.
She also has taken some hard core training on how to handle street shit should it escalate.
I hate that she “has to know this” but I LOVE that she CAN.

Tone, inflection, intent, and intimidation are REAL things.
There are MANY ways to say “Good afternoon”…
and acting ignorant of that fact is part of the bigger issue.
DON’T BE A FUCKING DICK/asshole/jerk/wanker/shithead/hateful ignorant butthead.
Talk to people how you’d like someone to talk to YOUR daughter/son/sister/brother/mom/dad/grandma wutever…If it sounds/feels creepy to you if someone said it to YOUR people, then don’t say it to a stranger…fucking check yourself and STFU.
This shouldn’t be hard, people.
And until we can sort this crap out, there are those like me everywhere that help train/teach others of all ages, sizes, backgrounds, genders, levels of physical ability how to utterly destroy a target.
