My mother.

My mother.

She was….troubled. Had a weird life.

We shark offspring, my sister and I had a um…

uh….Rough existance at home and we swam away as soon as we could.

Since the message was often that I was “just like your father” (not complimentary) and Sis was treated like an emotional boomerang, most of the time I’m surprised we grew….up.

The woman had some skills, tho.

Some people experienced home cooking as vile and sick-making, no matter how absolutely bonkers and abusive our home was, we ate like royalty…

We learned to cook, clean, sew, fix, paint, repair, construction, fight and to survive our parents.

This recipe card is one of the last things mom ever gave me.

This is non-fancy, everyday cooking for mom, didn’t even flex her fins or break a sweat for this.

Enjoy.
