My nephew just came into my studio, limping and bleeding.

He was carrying too much stuff as he skateboarded home, hit a rock, and….

SLID ON HIS FACE.

He got his hands, arms and shoulder, pretty good, too.

Mopped up blud, scrubbed the asphalt out in the hole in his face, had to use a sterile toothbrush….

Checked for broken stuff, taped him up.

Asphalt abrasions REMOVE the skin, not cut it.

There is no way to stitch this, he has missing flesh.

His little man-dude mustache is missing there.

Glad I’m not squeamish and I can clean him up before his mom sees him.

Kid has some stones, tho.

Sat still for all of it…we are both glad his mom isn’t home…she doesn’t do bleeding offspring.

Man, she is gonna freak when she sees him.
