/……cutting some onions….

Treat people with respect.

Treat people how you’d like to be treated.

“Just as human as you are, I am just BEING. “

That’s the line that made me want to cheer…

Gay, straight, every color, all genders, backgrounds, cultures, nationalities, political wutevers: All humans FIRST.

(And some sharks, too…)

I say to people afraid and worried about public GAYNESS:

I’d just ask if THINKING about shifting a *homophobic mindset is scary, then it most definitely needs a look at it…

Even in the privacy of your own brain, if it makes you angry, defensive, “uncomfy” or if you find yourself saying things like, “It’s just how I was raised” or “It’s o.k. they are gay, I just don’t want it SHOVED in my face”….

Yep, you need to look at that.

If a straight old couple holding hands and smooching isn’t “shoving it in your face” neither is a gay couple…it’s not FOR you, it’s AFFECTION and LOVE, not an affront.

It’s gonna be o.k, really, it won’t destroy your retinas.

It’s just love…you know…The opposite of hate.

Try it.

Brian Workman I stole dis from you.

STOLE IT…because it was gay, in the best way….

I’ve shared this before, but a recent comment by Bruce Shark reminded me of it. I don’t like to talk about all the microagressions that we suffer and also promulgate, because I like to focus on the positive. However, it is a conversation that shouldn’t end as it is still a problem and also, I thought maybe that some may not have seen this video. So, here we go again and Panti touches on basically life for quite a good number of people and how we (not all of we, but many of we) “look first, and then act” as a safety measure. Which is sad and also necessary.
