These people rescue and find homes for abandoned or abused dogs.

I know Jackie, the woman who runs this group. Their 501c3 non-profit approval is in the works, they do great work and coordinate with other rescue groups in the US for transport and, yes, rescue. The two dogs in the photo, severely affected with mange, now look like normal healthy dogs and are ready for adoption.

My thoughts:

It’s hard to justify helping companion animals when so many humans are in such a bad way – but we evolved together into what we are, candids, equines and humans. Helping them also helps our souls, and reminds us of who and what we are.
