Sooooo…… turns out the State of California Court System has zero sense of humor around the “excuse” portion of the summons.
Apparently, writing “IMMA SHARK” in the area reserved for ‘why can’t you do yer civil duty’ makes them send you another summons.
Six days until jury service.
Six days of yard work in 100° weather w/o showering outta change their minds about wanting me there so badly.
These sisters are still buddies…
