Does anyone remember Kita?

She was the neighborhood lived on our porch totally cool stray that some asshat shot with a .22.

The bullet fragments are still lodged near her hip, and she almost lost her leg.

Since then she’s been living in the back room/laundry bathroom.

Since our beloved Squeak died, I moved her to the living room.

She is a colossal whiny butt trilling chirpy mouthy PITA.

We love her and she is seriously 100% cat.

Everyone please say Hai to Kita, the lucky whiny butt.

Beautiful cake, tragic disease.

EB Awareness Week

Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) is often described as, “The worst disease you’ve never heard of.” Those born with Epidermolysis Bullosa are often called “Butterfly Children” because as the analogy goes, their skin is as fragile as the wings of a butterfly. Imagine each day having to lance blisters and rebandage a child racked with pain. This year we’ve decided to honor the brave children and adults who deal with this disease every day in the best way we know: through cake artistry. This collaboration has been a labor of love. Please enjoy these works of art and donate generously to the fight against EB.
